Who this is about
Fero Axis is software a restaurant runs to take orders, manage its staff and deliver food. Two different groups of people appear in it:
- Staff — owners, cashiers, kitchen staff and riders who sign in and use the app.
- Customers — people whose order details staff enter so the food reaches them.
The restaurant decides what is entered. This app stores it and sends it to that restaurant's own server.
What is collected, and why
| What | Why | Who it is about |
|---|---|---|
| Name, phone number, delivery address | So an order reaches the right person at the right door | Customers |
| Order contents, totals, payments | So the restaurant can take and settle an order | Customers |
| Name, phone number, employment and attendance records | Staff records, shifts, leave and pay | Staff |
| Photographs of payment slips and menu items | Proof a bill was paid; pictures on the menu | Both |
| A rider's location, only while they are on duty | So the branch can see where a delivery is | Staff (riders) |
| A device identifier | So the restaurant can tell its own tills and phones apart | — |
Location, specifically
- It is sent only while a rider has switched themselves On duty. Nothing is sent off duty.
- It keeps sending while the screen is off or the app is closed, for as long as that shift is running — that is what "on duty" means.
- It stops the moment the rider goes Off duty.
- A rider can turn location sharing off entirely in Profile → Location, and can still work with it off. The branch then sees that they are on shift and does not see where they are.
- The app also reads a location when somebody taps Clock in, and only then, and only if their branch has switched on geofenced attendance.
The app does not use Android's background-location permission.
How long a rider's location is kept
Positions are kept so the branch can see a delivery in progress and settle any question about it afterwards. They are held with the delivery they belong to, and they are removed when the rider's account is deleted — see asking for your data to be deleted. A rider who does not want positions recorded at all can switch location sharing off in Profile → Location and keep working.
Who the data goes to
Only the restaurant's own server. There is no analytics service, no crash reporting service, no advertising network and no data broker in this app. It contains no third-party SDK that receives your information.
The two external services it does use:
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver push notifications. It carries the notification, not your records.
- Google Maps — opened in a separate app when a rider taps Navigate. At that point you are in Google Maps, under Google's own policy.
What stays on the device and never leaves it
- Fingerprint and face unlock. The app asks Android whether the check passed. It never receives, sees or stores biometric data.
- The local copy of the branch's data, so the app keeps working without signal.
How it is protected
Everything travelling to the server goes over HTTPS. The only cleartext the app permits is to 127.0.0.1 — the device talking to itself for the in-app website preview, which never leaves the handset.
Sign-in tokens are held in the platform's encrypted storage (Keystore on Android).
How long everything else is kept
The restaurant decides. It is their business record — their orders, their staff files, their customers. The app does not delete it on its own, except for payment-proof photographs, which are swept after a retention period the restaurant sets.
Asking for your data to be deleted
You can ask in two places, and both reach the same queue:
- In the app — Settings → Account → Delete my account.
- On the web, with no sign-in needed — the account deletion page.
How staff and rider accounts work. Cashiers, waiters, kitchen staff and riders do not create their own accounts — the restaurant's owner creates them. You can still ask through either route above, and the owner can also remove your account from inside the app. Either way your login, name, phone number, email and any stored location history are removed.
What is kept. Completed orders and the money records attached to them stay, because they are the restaurant's financial and tax records. Your personal details are removed from them.
Nothing is deleted on the strength of a typed phone number alone. We contact you on the details you give to confirm the request is really yours before anything is removed.
Your choices
- Location sharing: Profile → Location, or through Android's own permission settings.
- Notifications: Android settings.
- Biometric unlock: Profile → Security.
